Deposit and Cancellations
Cancellations 45 or more days prior to the scheduled date will be
charged $25 per room reserved.
Cancellations 14 to 45 days prior to the scheduled date will be charged
for one night at the full rate.
Cancellations 14 days or less before the scheduled date will be charged
the entire amount of all the scheduled nights reserved.
We recommend that you purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen
circumstances.
Check in/out and directions
PLEASE CHECK IN BEFORE DARK. (People arriving after dark frequently get
lost because the signs are
difficult to read at night).
We are located in the town of Volcano, Hawaii. The town of Volcano is
small, so everyone and everything is within a mile or two of each other
and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
We provide very specific driving instructions to our check in office in
our emailed confirmation.
Please be sure to print it out to have with you when you arrive so that
you can easily find us. Please don't rely on tourist maps, Google, GPS
systems, etc., our directions will get you here.
Best check in time for us is between 3pm and 4pm.
Normal check-in time is 1pm to 5pm, but feel free to call the morning
of your arrival to see if early check-in is available.
If you can't make it before dark, YOU MUST CALL US THE DAY BEFORE TO
ADVISE US OF YOUR SITUATION.
If you are going to arrive after 9pm you
must call us for detailed self check in instructions the day before.
Checkout is any time before 10:00 am, later checkout may be arranged
the day before.

Directions if you are coming from the north to Volcano Inn from Hilo
Leaving Hilo while driving south on Highway 11 towards Volcano, watch
for the 26 mile marker on the right side of the road.
Turn right just
after the 26 mile marker onto Pearl Avenue for one short block.
At the stop sign, turn right onto Old Volcano Highway and go one long
block towards the dead end of the road.
Turn left into the driveway just before the dead end when you see the
signs indicating Volcano Inn.
The office is upstairs, follow the signs.
Directions if you are coming from the south through the Volcanoes
National Park.
While driving north on Highway 11 heading towards Volcano, look for the
27 mile marker.
0.9 miles after the 27 mile marker, turn left onto Pearl Avenue for one
short block.
At the stop sign, turn right onto Old Volcano Highway and go one long
block towards the dead end of the road.
Turn left into the driveway just before the dead end when you see the
signs indicating Volcano Inn.
The office is upstairs, follow the signs.
Coming from the Kona Airport is 3 hours driving time no matter which
way you come. Traveling north is preferable, especially if you will be
driving in the dark, you may hit more traffic delays going south.
Volcano Inn is a No Smoking facility. No pets allowed.
We reserve the option to move reservations without notice to equal or
better rooms.
